WELCOME TO FEEL FREE YOGA & YOGALATES

AliPhoto.jpg

Hi, I'm Ali Moorhouse, Therapeutic Yoga and Yogalates Instructor.

If you're looking for a practice to help you wind down, improve your mobility and feel good, then you've come to the right place.

Discover an empowering practice to improve strength and release stress in your mind and body

My mission is to help you discover that yoga and yogalates really is for everyone and to challenge some of those reasons as to why you might be reluctant to begin, such as:

'I'm not flexible enough'

Classes aim to improve mobility and greater freedom in your body. You will not be expected to wrap your leg around your neck (because that's the job of a contortionist...) Rather, we progress slowly, in an out of various movements and shapes, finding full range of motion in the joints, developing strength, and most of all, enjoying how it all feels!

'I'm too old'

But can you still breathe? If you can, I don't want to hear this excuse! If you have led a very inactive lifestyle and now feel extremely limited in your movement, we can bring in different elements to the practice such as chairs, walls and other useful supports. If you are still concerned about joining a class, then please drop me an email to arrange a one to one session with the intention of integrating you into a class at a later date.

'I struggle to relax'

In that case, I would really like to meet you....

'I'll never be able to do THAT!'

Seen someone on social media recently striking a yoga 'pose' atop a mountain range in some faraway tropical paradise? Sadly, the yoga world has become saturated with these completely unrealistic images meaning many people who just want to practice a bit of self-care become disheartened and choose not to step over the threshold into a class. Rather than working through a series of 'achievement-based' postures (or photo opportunities!) which may be completely inefficient for our bodies and might even lead to increased tension and injury, we move progressively, taking the time to build strength, increase flexibility and develop stamina at a level that suits YOU and your unique body. What you are left with is an empowering practice where you are free to make your own choices as to how you move and where you ultimately 'settle'.
